| A: | My heart goes out to you. Your message sounds so hopeless. Luke 1:37 “Nothing is impossible with God.” I know that this matter has been and still is in your prayers. Your message is so short. There is so much I would like to ask you, but cannot. Please talk with your pastor face-to-face about this. He should be able to provide you with the help that you need. He certainly can provide you with the spiritual help that you and your daughter need. I don’t know the age of your daughter. I don’t know the availability of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) help in your area. I don’t know how much you know about the drugs your daughter is using. Get your daughter all of the help that you can. Besides your pastor, enlist medical doctors, social workers, the police, AODA counselors, and treatment centers to help your daughter. Her physical life and her eternal life are at stake. I know that this is and will be very draining on you. Do not give up. Find ways to cut through the red tape of bureaucracy and search out treatment for her. Your love for her must be tough, but unending. Let her know that you care and that you will not see her continue to court disaster in her life. She may disappoint you many times. It is not about you and her. It is about you and the drugs. Separate her from the friends that are supporting her drug use. Pray that God will give you strength. Hebrews 13:5 “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you. Never will I forsake you.’” I wish that I could write more to you. This is so general. I just don’t have enough information.
