| Q: | Recently, in my senior religion class we were studying life issues, and a question about homosexuality popped into my mind. Is it possible for someone born of both genders to be homosexual? | ||||||
| A: | I have difficulty ascertaining if this question is simply asking about the acceptability of homosexuality for men or women (both or one or the other) or if it is touching on the condition called "biological intersex condition." My reply is to the latter presumption. "Being homosexual," from the biblical perspective, is a reference to actions and not to any type of genetic or biological condition. Although biological anomalies have given genetic men female body parts and genetic females male body parts, their genetic make-up is still that of a single sex. Therefore, denying that sexual assignment by God or practicing a sexual lifestyle contrary to the natural one given by God is condemned. | ||||||
