| Q: | Hebrews, Acts I was wondering what your opinion is on revelation today in our times? | ||||||
| A: | Hebrews 1:1-2 stresses that we have God's complete revelation in Christ. Therefore, we are not to expect any additional information about the plan of salvation. Since the apostles had to be eye-witnesses of Christ's ministry and resurrection (Acts 1), we expect no more apostles. All general revelations would fall into one of two categories: either they contradict Scripture, in which case we reject them, or they repeat Scripture, in which case they are unnecessary. We cannot deny the possibility that God could give a special personal revelation to someone, but Scripture gives us no reason to expect such revelations. We are to look to God's Word for guidance. | ||||||
