Q:	If my children were baptized ELCA and then we join WELS, will they need to be rebaptized? Is the ELCA baptism valid
A:	If the public confession of the congregation in which the children were baptized was Trinitarian and the children were baptized with water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, their baptism was valid. The children would not need to be rebaptized.
